Stephen A. Smith's Daughter Proved Black Fathers Are NOT Appreciated

Stephen A. Smith's Daughter Proved Black Fathers Are NOT Appreciated, and tonight The Angryman is breaking down exactly what that viral moment revealed. On the newest episode of his own Straight Shooter podcast, Stephen A. Smith asked his daughter Samantha a simple question about what happens when he gets older, and her answer stunned everybody watching: nursing home. No hesitation, no pause, no plan to care for the man who provided the lifestyle, the American Express card, the wardrobe, and the opportunities she enjoys today. When he pushed back, she doubled down and told him she would love him from a distance. That clip spread everywhere in hours, but the conversation everybody is dancing around is the one we are having tonight: Black fathers are not appreciated, oftentimes not even by the children they raised, protected, and sacrificed for. The Angryman is going deeper than the jokes and the memes, because this is bigger than Stephen A. Smith and his daughter — it is a pattern in our community where the Black father is treated like a wallet while he is useful and an afterthought when he is not, where mothers are honored and fathers are punchlines, and where a man can pour his whole life into his children and still end up planned for a facility instead of a family. We are laying out the receipts, examining the double standard between how mothers and fathers are valued, answering the "she was only joking" defense, and comparing how other communities treat their aging fathers with honor. If Black fathers are NOT appreciated even at the highest levels of success, what does that mean for the everyday working father with no cameras on him? Pull up a chair, get in the chat, and let's hold one standard for everybody, because The Angryman Channel does not flinch, does not pick favorites, and does not apologize for telling the truth as it is.
